Regional Co-Creation Department

Recognizing that local regions are the key arenas for implementing national policies, we established the Regional Co-Creation Department by integrating the Osaka Branch and Hokkaido Office (formerly under the Environmental Engineering Division) with our existing offices in Tohoku, Chubu, and Kyushu.

Operating from both our headquarters and regional offices, our department takes a locally rooted approach to addressing a wide range of challenges in both the policy domain – such as formulating strategies for regional revitalization, as well as in the project domain – such as supporting local governments in developing related plans.
In these efforts, we work in close collaboration with other departments to promote the realization of a decarbonized society, a circular economy, and a nature-positive society in each target region. Our responsibilities include business development, securing project opportunities, and ensuring successful execution.
In addition, we support the development of regional co-creation projects that leverage local characteristics – including partnerships with local businesses – through flexible business schemes such as public-private partnerships.
