Executive Members
Our executive team is composed of leaders with extensive experience and expertise in the fields of international development and environmental management. Each member plays a crucial role in our diverse projects both domestically and internationally, passionately driving sustainable growth and fostering global partnerships. Below, we introduce our executive members.

Chairperson
Masato OHNO

When Masato OHNO chanced upon EXRI half a century ago, he found that this company was unique in offering its employees the opportunity to pursue their passions and interests. He engaged in national policies and international cooperation in the fields of environment, waste management, and water resources. Now, as Chairperson, he aims to make EXRI a place where everyone can truly feel excitement at work and is committed to passing the baton to the next generation.

Managing Director
Yutaka FUJISAKI

After completing his master’s degree in engineering, Yutaka FUJISAKI worked at a major think tank for about three years and then traveled as a backpacker in Asia, Europe and Africa for about a year. Back in Japan, he joined EXRI. He has now been in this company for over 30 years, acting in consulting for about 20 years and corporate planning and management for about 10 years. Today, he leverages his years of experience and accumulated knowledge to serve the company in diverse capacities.

Managing Director
Kazuhiro NAKAISHI

Despite encouragement from those around him to seek local employment, Kazuhiro NAKAISHI aspired to gain consulting experience not only in Japan but also internationally. Initially planning to return to his hometown in Kyushu after a decade, he has now spent over 30 years in Tokyo. Following his tenure at a leading construction firm, he established E2 Engineering in 1997, capitalizing on the PFI Promotion Law to target the PPP market. This venture later became a subsidiary of EXRI, leading him to relocate to headquarters in 2012. While reflecting on his roots, he diligently contributes to regional revitalization through public-private partnerships, addressing society’s challenges of population decline.

Director
Tomoo YAMASAKI

After graduating from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Tomoo YAMASAKI worked for a major construction company before joining EXRI. With renewable energy, environmental technology, transportation and logistics as keywords, he is involved in a wide range of technical (technology development, commercialization support, etc.) and research (various surveys, policy support, etc.) activities. Even now, while serving as director in charge of the Sustainability Design and International Development departments, he remains actively engaged as a manager overseeing several projects on a daily basis.
